somewhat around...

Some of you must be wondering what happened to me lately. Well, I catapulted myself (not very literally on a huge hammock sling) into a parallel universe where 10-feet tall cockroaches rule and chickens have two heads instead of one. Two months of culture shock has forced me to return to Earth. Do blame the chickens for my random act of disappearance.
For the benefit of whoever still checks my blog :
1. Work is good and surprisingly I don't feel stressed out although there's plenty to do. I credit the fact that my current boss is great to work with.
2. The apartment is coming along fine. Progress was halted for awhile due to a leak from the unit above us. It's fixed though and we'll be moving in more furniture soon. I attempted to paint a wall few weeks back and it was a disastrous affair. Handyman Boon fixed it though and yes it's good to have a man around. I'm eagerly awaiting the day when I can start arranging my book collection in the playroom. I welcome book vouchers, second-hand books, etc.
3. Speaking of which, I'm buying more books faster than I can read them. Gluttony is good. I'm crazy over Robert Sabuda's pop-up books. Expensive editions and I've so far collected 6 titles, the latest being Chronicles of Narnia. The latest that I've read yesterday night was the graphic novel Batman: Year One by Frank Miller in 2 hours. I can't wait to read The Killing Joke by Alan Moore soon.
4. Me and Boon are definitely getting married sometime later this year. Date and plans pending. I work best under pressure.
5. And Juno! One of the quirkiest movies I've watched recently. If you like Little Miss Sunshine, don't miss Juno.
Juno MacGuff: Dad, it's not about that. I just need to know if it's possible for two people to stay happy together forever, or at least for a few years.
Mac MacGuff: In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with.
Righto. Happy Valentine's.
