We collected the apartment keys this morning. Had an initial check on our unit with the developer’s guy - the defects list isn’t lengthy, so that’s pretty good news to begin with. Our unit does look tiny, but I’m sure we’ll make do. We’ll have the morning sun streaming in our balcony and two main bedrooms. From the master bedroom, we can spy the Twin Towers at a distance. Hmmm, that’s super.

I love the surrounding landscape, lots of flowers and greens, shaded walk paths with scattered Narnian-like lamp posts. There’s a 4ft deep swimming pool, wading pool, Jacuzzi and a cafe in the middle on raised ground. A children’s playground and badminton court. A huge gym room with spanking new gargantuan-sized exercise equipments. No more excuses to not run on the treadmill. Two separate gents and ladies common washroom cum sauna. A huge common room with ‘Library’ written above the door. My community project??

There’s three layers of access card entrance security - guardhouse, lobby entrance and car park elevator entrance. The lobby has a nice glass door with centralised air-con. Impressive.

I had to keep reminding myself that I’m actually looking at our new home-to-be. It felt surreal. Well at least until our actual loan payment starts - reality will definitely bite hard.

We’ve started measuring the place, thinking about the kitchen, the grills, the paint, the lights, furniture. At the moment, the boyfriend is busy putting the kitchen plans onto paper while I take care of the budget. Ah, excitement and worries. I’m truly a grownup now *beams*
